Back To School Supply Drive

 Back To School Season is my favorite time of year. I always looked forward to going back to school. My backpack was never shy of school supplies and my parents sent me to school with everything I needed with extra to last throughout the school year.

For many families in Chicago, that isn’t the case. A lot of parents are unable to send their children back to school with the basic materials they need to be successful in school. We can help.

Several organizations are coming together to gather school supplies to donate to  students at Marcus Garvey Elementary School and Julian High School. We’ve already begun accepting items and donations and I would like to invite you to join us!  Collecting school supplies can be as easy as picking up a couple of notebooks at your next trip to the store.
